THE POLLING WAS HELD AT JINNAH CONVENTION CENTRE ON THURSDAY EVENING IN ATTENDANCE OF LARGE NUMBER OF FOLKS THE MAINSTREAM OF WHICH SUPPOSEDLY ENCOMPASSED PROPERTY DEALERS INSTEAD OF HONEST AFFECTEES.

It was second polling in line with the recently-announced typical operating procedures (SOPs) to assimilate and lodge an affectees of Islamabad during last one week.

Some members who were claiming themselves as honest affectees objected over polling and blamed CDA Land Directorate for carrying out balloting to lodge property dealers and some distinct personalities instead of genuine affectees.

During polling of Raja Khawar a land affectee from Sangjani protested over allocation of plots 25×50 and asked CDA administrators to stop pronouncement of their names. He said that they were lawfully deserving plots size of 30×60. CDA officials however, agreed to opposition of affectees by demanding them not to create hurdle in polling process and counselled them not take these plots and vowed to rectify this anomaly.

The CDA selected total 330 plots of different sizes to the affectees of Islamabad in Sector I-11 and I-12. These plots were chosen through polling including 60 plots of 25×50 size and 50 plots of 25×60 size, in Sector I-12, 118 plots of 25×50 size and 102 plots of 30×60 size.

The plots were chosen to the affectees whose land was attained by CDA decades ago. The allocation of plots had been made over manual polling by the committee established under the new SOPs announced on the directions of Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz. The committee was oversaw by CDA Member Estate, Khushal Khan. On this time, Director Land, Deputy Commissioner CDA, Additional Director Estate Affectees were also extant.
